Real-Time Functional Imaging and Neurofeedback meeting

Welcome to the rtFIN 2024!

The real-time Functional Imaging and Neurofeedback (rtFIN) conference will be held November 4-6 in Heidelberg, Germany. Pre-conference Workshops will be held November 3-4 in Mannheim. Registration will open on November 2.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you at the conference in Heidelberg/Mannheim in Germany. Both cities are very close to the international airport in Frankfurt/Main and easily accessible.

The biannual real-time Functional Imaging and Neurofeedback (rtFIN) conference has been founded in 2012 particularly by people who work in the area of real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging (rt-fMRI) to bring together scientists from around the world who are working on the improvement of real-time neuroimaging methods and the establishment of the methods as a clinical intervention. The aim of the conference in Heidelberg/Mannheim, Germany, in 2024 is not only to continue the fruitful exchange between scientists in the field but also to connect to other closely related fields, namely the area of Brain-Computer-Interfaces (BCI) and of closed-loop neuromodulation. Neurofeedback shares the main technology with BCI approaches since both make use of the real-time analysis of the measured brain signal.

While the first conference was organized in Zurich, Switzerland in 2012, it was hosted in Gainesville, Florida (2015), Nara, Japan (2017, https://rtfin2017.atr.jp/), Aachen and Maastricht, Germany/Netherlands (2019, https://www.rtfin2019.org/) and Yale, Connecticut (2022, https://rtfin2022.squarespace.com/).

We look forward to seeing you in Heidelberg and Mannheim!
